I would like to convey a message on the New Year for 2026 to all.

According to the Buddha’s teachings, just as there are many kinds of suffering in the world, there are also many kinds of worldly prosperity. To attain such worldly prosperity, one must possess wide knowledge; when one has wide knowledge, wisdom increases, and when wisdom increases, one can work to achieve prosperity. Therefore, strive to acquire wide knowledge.

The knowledge and skills gained from learning and acquiring broad knowledge, however little you know, you can apply that little; however little you are skilled, you can use that skill, can be put into practice to bring benefits and prosperity both for yourself and for others. It can also be used to achieve growth and development.

In that way, everyone should strive to make their homes, villages, neighbourhoods, cities, countries, and the world around them as good and prosperous as possible. It is up to us to work so that the human world we live in becomes wholesome, prosperous, and beneficial.

At this New Year’s moment, may we begin to acquire various kinds of knowledge and wisdom so that we can act for our own benefit, the benefit of others, the benefit of our country, and the benefit of the whole world. May we become virtuous people who are able to bring about diverse blessings and prosperity for everyone.
