Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr Kan Zaw received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur at the Internal Revenue Department in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

They cordially discussed bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and India, India’s assistance for the development of Myanmar, post-Mandalay earthquake reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery activities, and further cooperation for the financial stability of Myanmar.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin, Joint Secretary Ms Suja Kizhakkepat Menon of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the director-general of the Treasury Department, and officials.
