According to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee, combined teams seized 7.613 tonnes of illegal teak timbers, 9.139 tonnes of other timber and 6.05 tonnes of charcoal in Lewe, Pyinmana and Ottara districts in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 18 April.

Under the management of the Customs Department, combined squads impounded consumer goods approximately worth K7.344 million without any documents from a Higer Bus worth K60 million at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint on 21 April.

Action was taken against offenders for their illegal and smuggled goods under the Forest Law and Customs procedures. On 18 and 21 April, combined teams seized illegal goods approximately valued at K71.46 million in 11 cases.
