At our polling station, there are 2,072 eligible voters plus 61 advance voters. As arrangements have been made to ensure that the public can vote with peace of mind at our polling station, we invite voters to come and cast their ballots”.

In this election, in order to prevent electoral fraud and to make the voting process more accurate and efficient, the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) is being used. As a result, people can cast their votes easily and quickly by pressing the button next to the name and logo of their preferred political party or candidate.

The polling station officials also provided assistance whenever it was needed. Having cast my vote, I feel that I have fulfilled my duty as a citizen, and that makes me very happy. I have full confidence in voting by machine. I am also glad to be able to vote again at the age of 55”.

After polling stations closed at the designated time of 4 pm, the results generated by the voting machines were counted at the respective polling stations in the presence of representatives from political parties, polling station members, and domestic and international election observers.
