THE Myanmar Health Assistant Association expresses deep regret and condemnation over the recent attacks by terrorists in Lashio, northern Shan State, as they targeted the Tatmadaw hospital, a non-military facility, with rockets, heavy weapons, and drones, resulting in the deaths and injuries of residents, departmental staff, and family members of security personnel who were receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

The association emphasizes that healthcare services should be accessible and safe for all individuals, regardless of their location or circumstances. It firmly opposes any attacks on healthcare facilities.

The Myanmar Health Assistant Association issues a statement emphasizing the need for heightened protection and safety measures to ensure that patients, including mothers and children, as well as healthcare workers, are not harmed.
