THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the University for Peace (UPEACE) co-organized the “Training on Peaceful Coexistence and Cultural Diversity” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw, from 11 to 12 November 2024. The training was attended by 30 mid-level officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other related ministries and organizations.

The purpose of organizing the training is to develop knowledge in peacebuilding, peaceful coexistence, cultural diversity, negotiation and conflict mediation, multilateral diplomacy, international law, and cultural diversity, negotiation and conflict mediation, multilateral diplomacy, international law and human rights.

UPEACE was founded as an international institution by the United Nations in 1980. Its primary mission is to promote peace, conflict resolutions and sustainable development. The headquarters of UPEACE is located in Costa Rica, offering various training in the fields of peace, human rights, and international relations.
