MALICIOUS media circulated false news, claiming that security forces burnt down the houses in Kaunggon, Phogon and Thabyaytha villages in Zigon, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, on 9 and 10 November.

According to a security official, security forces conducted their usual security measures near the villages on that day, and there was no arson attack. Terrorists committed arson attacks holding the stance that “those with opposite attitude are their enemies”.

Subversive media outlets spread misinformation, covering up their terror acts and misleading the people about security forces.
