A Russian delegation, led by Mr Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov, visited Chaungtha beach yesterday morning and planted a star-flower tree at the entrance to Chaungtha as Russia-Myanmar friendship together with Russian Ambassador Mr Iskander Azizov. Arriving in Nay Pyi Taw, they were welcomed by Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, council members, officials, and students. The delegation was received at the Ministry of Transport and Communications by Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, and other union ministers.
The meeting focused on strengthening people-to-people ties and enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including air travel, banking, investment, religion and culture, agriculture, livestock, industry, trade, health, tourism, and education.
Union ministers and senior officials from the Ministries of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Religious Affairs and Culture, Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Industry, Commerce, Health, and Hotels and Tourism, along with the Russian ambassador and the Russian delegation, participated in the discussions.
In the evening, the delegation was hosted for dinner at the Aureum Palace Hotel. Following this, the delegation visited the Uppatasanti Pagoda, where they offered flowers, water, and candlelight.
