The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing left for China on 17 November at the invitation of the Chinese government to deepen collaboration in census collection and immigration processes between the two countries.
The delegation arrived at Bai Yan International Airport, in Guangzhou, and proceeded to Shanghai International Airport in the evening.
On 19 November morning, the Union minister visited the Shanghai International Terminal and heard the presentation made by an official of SIPG Haitong Logistics company regarding the storage system of vehicles to be exported to international countries at the terminal, recent work to maintain the vehicles that will be exported abroad in layers in the warehouse, ongoing plans, orderly placement of vehicles in the work sites and their working processes.
They also observed the loading processes of the vehicles to be exported internationally, including Southeast Asian countries, onto the international sea-going ship at the Shanghai terminal.
They proceeded to observe the loading of containers loaded with goods to be exported to international countries, onto the sea-going vessels, and heard the explanations of officials on immigration processes and maritime trade-related matters.
On arrival at the Terminal Control Centre, they observed the technology to oversee the loading and unloading operations at the terminal.
Afterwards, Chief Station Director Mr Gong Yao of the Shanghai Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station hosted lunch for the delegation.
