THE police have arrested two suspects Sai Wunna Tun (aka) Wunna and Soe Myint Tun together with two vehicles, one motorcycle, 147.4 kilogrammes of heroin from 67 bags containing 220 soap cups with heroin and 4.148 million stimulant tablets near Taung Taw village in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region, on 17 November.

According to the investigation, the police arrested drug dealer Nyan Win Hlaing in Singaing tollgate with Surf vehicle, Zaw Tun who carried drugs from Ywangan village to Shan State (South) to Han Myint Mo junction of Kyaukse Township near the Han Myint Mo junction with the motorcycle on that day, and Canter vehicle driver Kyaw Swa Lin (aka) Gas Oh was arrested in Sartaungnge village in Kyaukse township and Aung Khant who was to receive the drugs on 87th Street between 31st and 32nd streets in Chanayethazan Township on 18 November.

On 19 November, Thet Wai Aung who instructed the transport of drugs from Yasauk to Ywar Ngan township was arrested in Aungban Township, while Oakar Naing who carried drugs in Dongfeng vehicle was arrested in Kyaukse Township.

According to the confession of Zaw Tun, 184.8 kilogrammes of heroin from 84 bags hidden in bushes in the western Kin village, Kyaukse Township, were seized, and so over K14.5 billion worth of 332.2 kilogrammes heroin and 4.148 million stimulant tablets were seized.

Moreover, another offender Sai Naing Htoo Thar (aka) Nay Phyo Htet was arrested in Mandalay on 19 November night.

The Alphard and Mark II owned by Aung Khant were also seized in Chanayethazan Township.

They were charged under the Anti-Money Laundering Law and their profits and possessions were confiscated.
