Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win met Ms Noriko Takagi, UNHCR Representative to Myanmar, and her delegation yesterday in the ministry’s hall.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ministry and UNHCR, the coordination provided by the ministry regarding residence permits, entry visas, and domestic travel authorizations for UNHCR’s international staff, and UNHCR’s humanitarian assistance in flood-impacted regions. Both sides engaged in open and constructive dialogue on these matters.
