On 29 November, at approximately 8:15 pm, a fast patrol vessel under the command of the Tatmadaw (Navy), operating within an operation area, received a report about a fishing boat that had run aground and was taking on water. The incident occurred around 25 miles southwest of the mouth of the Pyapon River.

Upon reaching the location, the crew found that the ‘Mya Myo Lwin (9)’, a fishing trawler carrying 19 crew members on a journey from Pyapon to Yangon, had been caught in a sudden storm. This caused the vessel to take on water and partially sink.

A search and rescue operation was swiftly launched, and the fishermen were rescued. They were transferred to the naval vessel, where they received medical treatment, clothing, and food. At 8:10 pm on 30 November, both the rescued crew members returned to their boat owner.
