A Dhamma Puja ceremony will be held to mark the 114th anniversary of the birth of the first Ledi Sayadaw at the Ledi Stone Inscription Building in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region. The event will take place from 11 to 13 December, according to the Board of Trustees of the Ledi Stone Inscription Building.

“As in previous years, monks and pilgrims will recite the Mahasaranagon Pali scriptures written by Ledi Sayadaw, accompanied by the offering of 5,000 candle lights at the Ledi Stone Inscription Building,” said U Soe Thoung, a member of the board of trustees.

During the ceremony, the Mahasaranagon Pali scriptures will be recited daily from 7 am to 7 pm by members of the board of trustees and pilgrims for the duration of the three-day event.
