State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister, and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo received a delegation led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, at the ministry yesterday.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on sector-specific cooperation, direct flights between Myanmar and Russia, boosting tourism, and strategies to enhance investment and trade.

After the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation exchanged gifts.

Deputy ministers, the permanent secretary and departmental heads, the ambassador of the Russian Federation and other officials were also present on the occasion.
