Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received U Maung Thura, Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Federal Republic of Germany, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe explained recent developments in Myanmar. Both sides also cordially exchanged views on the enhancement of cultural, economic and trade cooperation between Myanmar and Germany, including matters related to protecting Myanmar citizens in Germany.
