Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and his wife attended the Qatari National Day reception held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon yesterday evening.

Chargé d’Affaires Dr Rashid Abdulla Al-Kuwari of the Embassy of Qatar to Myanmar and officials warmly welcomed the Union minister, his wife, and invitees.

The ceremony was opened with the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the State of Qatar, followed by the chargé d’affaires delivering the speech.

The Union minister and the Qatari Embassy official cut the commemorative cake and had a group photo taken with the attendees and the Qatari Embassy official hosted a dinner for the attendees.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and his wife, regional ministers and their wives, ambassadors from foreign embassies, chargé d’affaires, UN representatives, and guests were present at the reception.
