A delegation led by State Administration Council Members Dr Hmuh Thang, Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin met state-level departmental officials yesterday morning at the Rakhine State government office in Sittway.

During the meeting, the Rakhine State chief minister presented an update on the regional situation. The SAC members discussed the needs and guided on critical matters. Following this, Union ministers, SAC Central Advisory Body members, and deputy ministers outlined ongoing and planned initiatives to advance state development, ensure stability, and uphold the rule of law.

Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung also handed over essential supplies, including rice, oil, salt, pulses, and canned goods to the Chief Minister for distribution to government employees in Rakhine State.

SAC Member Dr Ba Shwe expressed appreciation for the unified efforts of all departments in carrying out their responsibilities and emphasized that state-level officials are instrumental in implementing national policies.

He highlighted that sustainable peace can only be achieved through political dialogue at negotiation tables, and reiterated that previous public concerns raised during his visits to Sittway were promptly reported to the Head of State, who acted swiftly. He encouraged state government and departmental officials to present their needs, stressing that collective efforts are essential for state development, the rule of law, and regional stability.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Mahazeya Theikdhi Monastery in Sittway, where they paid homage to the abbot and made offerings of donations and religious items.
