Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Thant Sin and officials, received President Mr Wang Qiang of the South-East Asia Crude Oil Pipeline and Gas Pipeline Company Limited at the Ministry yesterday evening.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed prompt initiation of feasibility studies for rapid implementation of the project to construct an LNG Terminal in Myanmar to produce natural gas and share between the two countries, upgrading the pipeline running to Kunming to transport gas to Chongqing and enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including the upgrading of oil refineries by processing the crude oil from the Myanmar-China crude oil pipeline.
