False reports from malicious news media claimed that security forces conducted consecutive airstrikes on Myinetha and Dauntboe villages in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, on 23 and 24 December, killing one civilian. However, these claims were found to be false.

According to a senior security official, no airstrikes were carried out by security forces in the mentioned villages. Instead, security forces performed necessary operations to ensure that local people live in peace. The official further stated that terrorists targeted villages that refused to support them, using drones to drop bombs and firing heavy weapons.

Malicious news media outlets fabricate such false stories to conceal the actions of terrorists and to mislead the public about the efforts of security forces.
