DEPUTY Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein met the directors-general, deputy directors-general, relevant officials and staff of the Customs Department in Yangon yesterday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister said the Customs Department is the focal that earns revenue for the country and also plays a key role in combatting illegal trade. Therefore, all should follow the rules and regulations, and make efforts to collect Customs duty, commercial tax and special goods tax for the country. He then urged the attendees to work hard for the interests of the country and the public.

The Deputy Prime Minister then met the managing directors, directors-general, officials and staff from the ministry’s affiliated departments at the meeting hall of the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (head office).

During the occasion, he instructed to systematically carry out work plans in granting agricultural and development loans and supervise strictly to prevent financial abuse.
