FALSE and misleading reports have been circulated by malicious media, alleging that five civilians were killed and homes were destroyed in airstrikes on certain villages in Ngazun and Natogyi Townships, Mandalay Region, on 31 December.

Regarding these claims, security officials clarified that security forces are conducting continuous operations to ensure stability and prevent occupation by terrorists in the area. They reported that terrorist groups are using drones to carry out bomb attacks against security personnel maintaining peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, these groups are instigating conflict and committing acts of destruction and terror in residential areas, leading to loss and damage to the lives and property of local civilians.

It was also noted that malicious media outlets are intentionally spreading false reports, aiming to cover up the activities of lawless terrorist groups and mislead public opinion by falsely accusing security personnel.
