ON behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I wish to extend our warmest felicitations to Your Excellency and to the Government and people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Pakistan and Myanmar have maintained the traditional bonds of friendships and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1948. I am confident that the existing relations and cooperation between our two countries will continue to flourish in the interest of our peoples.
