ON behalf of the Government of the Republic of Belarus and personally I congratulate you cordially on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Our countries are united by aspiration for an independent path of development in accordance with the interests of our citizens, and for a just world order where every state has its own voice and holds an honourable place in common international community.

The Republic of Belarus is interested in strengthening contacts with Myanmar at all levels and intensifying cooperation in various areas.

I consider it as essential to use the existing instruments and mechanisms of bilateral partnership as effectively as possible. I hope for your assistance in organising a session of Belarus-Myanmar Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation. I am confident that dynamic business ties and implementation of joint projects will contribute to progressive development of the two countries and enhance the well-being of peoples.
