IT is my great pleasure to convey my heartfelt felicitations to Your Excellency and the friendly people of Myanmar on the festive occasion of the 77th Anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

I am pleased to note that both countries have warm relations and close cooperation over the past years. Both countries have been working closely and supported one another at regional and international fora. With our joint endeavours and in particular next year marks the 70th anniversary of our diplomatic relations, the warm relations of traditional friendship and beneficial cooperation between the two countries will be further deepened and strengthened for the mutual interests of our peoples.
