FILM actress Ei Chaw Po donated K5 million on 3 January to support the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization’s programme of providing rice, cooking oil, and other food supplies to its members during the New Year period, according to the organization.

The organization announced that it would distribute these supplies to its members for the 15th time in the third week of January. Donations from film industry members and well-wishers, including cash and food items, are contributing to this initiative.

“The Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization will distribute rice and food supplies to film industry members as part of the 15th time of the New Year charity programme. On 3 January, actress Ei Chaw Po also contributed K5 million as part of her birthday donation,” said U Aye Kyu Lay, Vice Chairman of the organization.

Previously, the organization provided similar support for the 14th time from 3 to 6 April 2024. During that period, members from various sectors of the organization — management and distribution, scriptwriting and production, technical, and acting — accepted the donated rice, cooking oil, and food supplies based on their respective categories. — ASH/KZL
