Currently, Myanmar operates 14 linear accelerators (LA) machines in public hospitals and seven in private hospitals, totaling 21 units. Public hospitals have three cobalt radiotherapy machines and five brachytherapy machines, as well as four in private hospitals. Healthcare workers strive to reduce patient wait times by offering continuous services on weekdays, weekends, and nights.
