Hlawga Park has recorded the arrival of 82 bird species this cold season, and two northern shovelers, which are of great interest to the public, were included, said Activity Manager Ko Nyan Lin.
Among these 82 species, 19 migratory birds were included and two northern shovelers, which have a large, flat beak, were recorded for the first time last year at Hlawga Park.
“The census conducted these days shows a total of 82 species of both native and migratory birds. Of these, 19 are migratory birds. Among the migratory birds, northern shovelers recorded for the first time in the park last year were included. This year, there were two. Bird watchers are interested in this bird,” he said.
Currently, there are regular visitors of bird enthusiasts and people who want to have photographs. If a unique migratory bird species is recorded, people from Yangon, Mandalay and other areas will come more to see it, he added.
Migratory birds can be seen in Hlawga Park from September to February. In addition to northern shovelers, other unique and beautiful migratory birds are present in the park and people are invited to visit the park.
The park is open from 8 am to 5 pm and the entrance fee is K4,000 for adults, K2,500 for children aged 3 to 10 years and K3,000 to K10,000 per vehicle depending on the size.
