The working committee on EV Research Development and Technology organized its first meeting via hybrid format yesterday evening.

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya, chairman of the committee, director-general and the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training officials joined the meeting.

At the meeting, the deputy minister highlighted the need to accelerate the measures to develop EV research and technology, develop IT Applications that ensure the practical use of EVs for people, research two and three-wheeled EVs, farm equipment EVs, solar EV charging systems, EV Metrology and EV batteries, offer proper skill training meeting the needs and standards at EV training, cooperate with departments concerned to draft the EV standards and policies and conduct public awareness programmes for people and EV Stakeholders regarding the safe use of EV and battery management.

Then, the attendees coordinated the discussion and the Deputy Minister concluded the meeting.
