THE Tatmadaw Hospital Ship Thanlwin, accompanied by mobile specialist medical teams comprising consultants, doctors, and nurses, has been providing healthcare services to residents along the Taninthayi coastal region, as well as to communities near Cocokyun Township in Yangon Region and Hainggyikyun in Ayeyawady Region.
The mobile medical team set up a temporary base at the Tatmadaw Hospital at Hainggyikyun to provide healthcare services to 619 residents from the town and nearby villages.
The treatments included general medical consultations for 125 patients, surgical care for 43 patients, obstetric and gynaecological care for 27 patients, paediatric treatments for 48 children, orthopaedic care for 110 patients, ear, nose, and throat treatment for 50 patients, ophthalmology services for 138 patients, and dental care for 78 patients. Moreover, five patients underwent general surgery, 35 received eye surgery, 50 had X-ray examinations, 47 were tested using ultrasound, 47 underwent ECG heart screenings, and 50 had laboratory tests. Furthermore, arrangements were made for 13 patients requiring further treatment to be referred to nearby Tatmadaw hospitals.
