The Tatmadaw hospital vessel (Thanlwin) continued its medical outreach, giving essential healthcare services to residents along the Taninthayi coastal region, including villages near Cocogyun Township in Yangon Region and Hainggyikyun Township in Ayeyawady Region. The medical team delivered much-needed medical assistance aboard the vessel.
The vessel arrived at Chaungwa Village in Ngaputaw Township, Ayeyawady Region, yesterday morning, where local officials, residents, teachers and students extended a warm welcome. Setting up a temporary clinic at the village’s new monastic school, the mobile medical team attended to 559 patients from Chaungwa and nearby villages.
The mobile medical team gave healthcare services to 559 residents from Chaungwa Village and nearby areas in Ngaputaw Township, Ayeyawady Region, yesterday. The team operated from the new monastic school in the village, offering treatments for various medical conditions.
The services covered 114 cases of general illnesses, 44 cases of surgeries, 29 cases of maternal and obstetric care, 43 cases of paediatrics, 115 cases of orthopaedics, 34 cases of ear, nose and throat conditions, 90 cases of eye diseases and 90 cases of dental issues.
Six more general surgeries were also performed along with 42 X-rays, 47 ultrasound scans, 39 ECG tests, and 62 laboratory examinations. Fourteen patients requiring further treatment were referred to nearby Tatmadaw hospitals for specialized care.
