THE government will provide medicines free for people who have hepatitis C with its funding, said the Kyaikto Township Public Health Department.

Those with hepatitis C infection need to take medication for 3 or 6 months and medication will be provided as of this month, it said.

People who want to gain access the free medication can contact nearby hospitals and health departments in time.

Besides, HPV vaccination which can prevent cervical cancer is scheduled to be done on 10 February for girls, born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 and aged 9-10 years, outside formal education, in wards and villages, it said.
