The State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee held its first coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, Committee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein discussed solar projects to produce meat and eggs, financial support to improve the manufacturing sector, granted loans and repayment of the Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 14 region and state governments, six self-administered zones and division between 1 September 2022 and 31 December 2024, suspension of capital and interest payment for certain natural disasters, reports on granted loans to replant flood-hit monsoon paddy fields in Ayeyawady Region, systematic inventory for loans to offer as per the financial procedures, systematic supervision and data of regions and state management committees and work completions based on the findings of the Union Auditor-General’s Office.
Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung and attendees reported on summer paddy, monsoon paddy and edible oil crop projects in 2023-2024, ongoing plans to make contracts for monsoon paddy loans and monsoon peanut loans in 2024-2025, loans for the livestock breeding sector, plans to supply irrigation water, granted loans to oil millers and plans to increase the loan amount.
The secretary of the committee and other attendees coordinated the discussion regarding the extension of the loan period, digging wells and installation of water pumps and solar systems using the fund.
The Union minister concluded the meeting after giving proper instructions.
