The Union-level MSME product exhibitions and competitions marking the 78th Anniversary Union Day were held in Tabaung Ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, and crowded with students, ministries’ staff, families and people.
The ethnic groups in their respective ethnic traditional booths welcomed the visitors warmly and explained their cultural and, regional knowledge, unique sites of different regions and states, socioeconomic development measures, local food and MSME products.
Moreover, the event showcased the MSME products and traditional food of different regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw, and the booths displayed the regional food, MSME products, One Region One Product and other MSME export products in detail.
All the galleries also played songs depicting the traditional cultural dance and customs and raising patriotism and nationalism aiming at having unity between the people living across the country.
Similarly, the booths sold the products, food, souvenirs and traditional costumes at cheap prices for the visitors, and the technological booths, machinery and equipment, small-scale industry and manufacturing cooperatives booths were also crowded.
Moreover, the skilful staff showed off modern innovation, the ability of quality machinery, buying and installation of international standard types of machinery at the event.
In the evening, the entertainment programmes were launched, and the ethnic traditional dance troupes performed actively, and the people also participated in dancing and singing events.
The officials also conducted security measures for the safety of visitors, the traffic police force supervised the traffic, and healthcare services were provided for the visitors to the event.
Union-level MSME product exhibitions and competitions aim to continuously enhance the products and services of MSME businesses, to use new value-added products at home and penetrate foreign markets, and enhance collaborative efforts among MSME businesses in regions and states to supply the needs of regions each other in the production chain and seek weak and strong points of processes, encourage relevant one region-one product businesses to have success, further create linkages between MSME businesses and internal and external investors, award Union level MSME model product prizes and enable MSME businesses to operate in the long run.
The exhibitions and competitions will take place from 10 to 14 February. It will accommodate some 80 booths of ministries, regions and states, traditional ethnic foods, business-to-business linkages, technological booths, foreign machinery and product booths, small-scale industries and manufacturing cooperative booths, and admission is free.
