In commemoration of the 78th Union Day, the Union-level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition is in full swing, with MSME products from Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, regions and states showcased at the Tabaung Ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw. On the second day, students, government employees and residents flocked to the event.

Entrepreneurs engaged in MSME businesses and those planning to start their ventures were seen eagerly exploring the exhibition. Ko Kyaw Tun Min, a visitor, expressed his enthusiasm, “This event allows us to purchase products from all over the country in one place, sample local delicacies, and interact with business owners. It provides valuable opportunities to expand market networks and explore potential exports. What stands out this year is the active support from relevant departments, helping entrepreneurs enhance their businesses”.

The exhibition features booths from regions and states, offering insights into traditional culture, regional knowledge, iconic landmarks and local socio-economic development. Attendees can explore traditional foods and MSME products, while booth representatives provide information on domestic and international market entry, quality standards, and innovative business strategies. The event has drawn considerable entrepreneurs and curious visitors eager to learn and engage.

Ethnic traditional food stalls offer local delicacies, souvenirs, regional products and traditional attire at affordable prices. The exhibition also includes cooperative society product booths, displays from the Ministry of Industry, Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC), Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited and the Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers’ Association, offering food and consumer goods at special discounted prices.

In the evening, various entertainment activities allowed visitors to relax and joyfully enjoy themselves. Numerous attendees were actively participating in the events as artistes from the Myanmar Radio and Television-MRTV and the Department of Fine Arts performed unity songs.

People from nearby and distant areas visited and engaged with the cultural activities, and purchased local products and traditional foods with enthusiasm. Business owners also showed keen interest in the economic and technological opportunities on display. Departmental staff members, along with their families also attended in full participation.

The total number of visitors reportedly has exceeded 5,550, with around 700 vehicles and 400 motorcycles arriving at the event.
