THROUGH the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), 147 Myanmar EPS workers were sent to the Republic of Korea on 12 February, according to the Myanmar Embassy.

Of them, 139 are new manufacturing workers (19 are forestry workers) and 8 are new construction workers. They arrived at Incheon airport from Yangon on 12 February on Myanmar National Airlines charter flight UB 8301.

The embassy stated that the labour attaché from the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul welcomed and advised them on what they needed to follow, and provided necessary assistance.

POEA sent new 107 manufacturing workers and new 37 agriculture and livestock workers, totalling 144 on 15 January.
