Yesterday, representatives of Myanmar, Thailand, and China discussed facilitating the repatriation of foreigners involved in telecom fraud and destructive actions in Mae Sot, Thailand.

Delegations led by Deputy Police Chief 1 Police Maj-Gen Tin Ko Ko of the Myanmar Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Thailand’s Tak Province Vice-Administrator Mr Narongchai Jindaphan, and Deputy Director-General Mr Liu Ning Ning of Criminal Investigation Department of Public Security of China attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the three leaders discussed the acceleration of tackling online scams and online gambling, systematic transfer of offenders among the countries of origin, transit countries and arrival countries, cooperation to draft the action plan by forming the task force among three countries, and quick transfer of third-country nationals via Thailand.
