THE government is active ly cracking down on online gambling and telecom fraud including other criminal acts in border areas. A total of 210 foreigners who illegally entered the Myawady-Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas via border routes passing some neighbouring countries including Thailand were arrested yesterday.

The authorities collected the personal data and records just in one day to transfer them to their respective countries as quickly as possible.

From 30 January to 20 February 2025, the government arrested 1,763 foreigners who illegally entered the country, and 261 of them were transferred to their respective countries via Thailand, and the remaining 1,502 are also ready to be transferred.
