PDF terrorists, operating under the direction of the NUG and CRPH, were carrying out subversive activities in Magway Region and had taken shelter with weapons and ammunition near Pinmyo Village in Natmauk Township.

Acting on confidential information from residents who oppose actions that threaten regional stability and security, security forces launched an operation yesterday afternoon. During the operation, several PDF terrorists were killed, and weapons, along with related equipment, were seized.

The incident occurred after security forces received intelligence that PDF terrorists involved in terrorist activities in Magway Region were hiding with weapons and ammunition near Pinmyo Village. During the security operation, a confrontation took place approximately 500 metres east of the village, resulting in an exchange of fire.

Following the clash, security forces recovered three bodies, a Glock pistol, and various related items.

The terrorists have been carrying out armed intimidation of locals, committing acts of violence against government employees and innocent civilians and engaging in targeted killings.

To maintain stability and security in villages, the authorities urge residents to report any information about terrorist activities to security forces in a timely and confidential manner.
