Reports have been spread by subversive media outlets claiming that security forces have carried out aerial bombings and artillery attacks on villages in the western part of Myaung Township, Sagaing Region, and the Yaylekyun area in Magway Region.

According to a security official, security forces do not indiscriminately attack villages where civilians reside, as these are not military targets. Instead, it is terrorist groups that are using heavy weapons and drones to launch attacks on wards and villages that do not support them, aiming to instil fear among the local population.

The reports circulated by these media outlets are intended to conceal the violent acts of terrorist groups while misleading the public about the actions of security forces.
