Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe delivered speeches at the meeting with officers and staff who will serve duties at the Myanmar Embassy, permanent representative offices, and consulates-general in foreign countries yesterday.

In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the key requirements of every diplomat for the interests of the country and people: the need to learn the weak points and strengths of other countries and to have communication and negotiation skills.

He then urged them to keep enhancing their capacity for being diplomats, encourage children’s education matters, and make efforts to represent the country.

He finally provided instructions to work in unity and learn the international language and the languages of countries where the diplomat service duties.
