State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, at the SAC Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

The Senior General and Mr Deng Xijun cordially discussed the plan of China with a positive attitude to cooperate in the implementation of the Five-Point Roadmap by the Myanmar government and Tatmadaw and preparation to hold an election, cooperation of Myanmar with China in the peacemaking process, eradication of narcotic drugs, bilateral cooperation of Myanmar and China in combatting telecom fraud and online gambling, and trade measures at the border region of both countries.

Also present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council Member Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and officials. The Chinese Special Envoy was accompanied by officials of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar.
