The government is actively cracking down on telecom fraud and online gambling in addition to destructive elements by cooperating with international organizations.

Moreover, officials of regions and states expose online gambling, telecom fraud and destructive elements and take action decisively and the combined team including security forces also examine strictly.

On 12 March, the security forces inspected the Narhote village-tract in Tangyan Township, Shan State (North), and arrested 165 illegal foreigners and one Myanmar national who operate online gambling and telecom fraud together with one 200 feet by 60 feet hall, five temporary housing with seven rooms attached, furniture, two StarLink devices, 30 sorts of mobile phones and five all-in-one computers.

Offenders will be taken action under the law, and the foreigners will be transferred to their respective countries on humanitarian grounds and for bilateral relations.

The government is accelerating the efforts to crack down on online scams and online gambling by cooperating with international countries, including neighbouring countries.
