According to the Ministry of Health, nine ambulance stations have been established across seven townships in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area to provide emergency response services in the event of traffic accidents. The emergency hotline number 192 is available for immediate assistance.

These ambulance stations are in Zabuthiri, Ottarathiri, Pobbathiri, Dekkhinathiri, Zeyathiri, Lewe and Pyinmana townships. Residents in these areas can call 192 in case of an accident to request emergency medical transport.

The Ministry of Health has also set up ten emergency ambulance stations along the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, operating under the hotline 192 since 2016. Based on the experience gained from these stations, the emergency ambulance service has been expanded to the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area to respond more effectively to road accidents.

This emergency response system is a collaborative effort between the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the Ministry of Health. Of the nine ambulance stations in Nay Pyi Taw, seven are operated by the Ministry of Health, while the Myanmar Red Cross Society runs the remaining two. The service began operations on 20 February and will be further expanded to other regions and states.
