International tourists predominantly hail from Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea.
Over 10,000 domestic and international tourists visited Taungthaman Bridge and Taungthaman Lake in Mandalay Region during the public holiday period. According to U Soe Win, secretary of the Taungthaman Bridge Maintenance Committee, the highest number of visitors was recorded on the full moon day of Taboung.
Taungthaman Bridge and Taungthaman Lake are among the most popular tourist destinations in Mandalay Region, attracting both local and foreign visitors.
“The number of visitors on the full moon day of Taboung was significantly higher than usual. People from various parts of upper and lower Myanmar came to visit. Normally, around 400 to 500 visitors come per day, but during this public holiday period, the number increased to over 2,000 per day. The number of foreign tourists remained stable,” U Soe Win said.
Recently, the majority of domestic tourists visiting Taungthaman Bridge and Taungthaman Lake have come from cities such as Mandalay, PyinOoLwin, Taunggyi, and Yangon. Most of the international visitors are from Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea.
