The first day of the 2025 matriculation examination took place yesterday morning, both across the country and at overseas examination centres, with 208,889 candidates sitting the exam in the Myanmar language.
This year, 817 examination centres were established, including 13 overseas centres and 804 domestic centres. A total of 220,843 candidates registered for the exam. On the first day, 208,889 candidates participated in the Myanmar language exam, while 11,954 were absent, leading to an attendance rate of 94.59 per cent, according to the Ministry of Education.
