ACADEMY Khant Sithu donated K15.5 million to monasteries and nunneries which were destroyed in the recent earthquake in Paleik, Sagaing Region, on 25 April; K10 million to the Thakya Dita nunnery, K5 million to the IBEC monastery and K500,000 to the East Inlya monastery in Sagaing, respectively.

“In addition to the financial support for monasteries and nunneries, I made Satuditha (food donation) for 3,000 people in Sagaing,” said Khant Sithu.

Khant Sithu and his coworkers in the movie industry also made food offerings at the Dhamma Vihara Pahtamakyaw monastery and meditation centre located in Yangon Region’s Thingangyun Township on 17 April and presented a fund worth K40 million for a vehicle to use at the meditation centre.
