THE Knowledge Sharing Programme No 20 on “Compliance Audit” was held at 2 pm on 25 August at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw.

At the ceremony, Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo delivered an address, saying that Knowledge Sharing is the best opportunity to obtain one’s knowledge and experience; Compliance Audit is the independent assessment of whether activities, financial transactions and information are, in all material respects, in compliance with the authorities which govern the audited entity.

He urged the participants to absorb carefully the experience and knowledge about the audit process and observations of the presenter who conducted the compliance audit to apply that knowledge in the fieldwork.

Then, Daw Myo Myo Khaing, Assistant Director, Audit Division 6 (Audit Department) presented and discussed completely into two sessions: the theory and audit observations related to the compliance audit.

Afterwards, the attendees raised questions and exchanged knowledge and experience.

The ceremony was attended by the permanent secretary, the director-general (Audit Department), the deputy permanent secretary, the deputy directors-general (Admin/Audit), directors, deputy directors, assistant directors, staff officers, and senior auditors, totalling 402, not only from the Assembly Hall but also virtually from one training school room, the Myanmar Accountancy Council Office and Region/ State Auditor-General Offices, in line with COVID-19 rules and regulations.
