THE Ministry of Immigration and Population published the list of estimated Myanmar population annually for the basic use in developing national policies and projects.

Published lists were accumulated on the basis of population in the 2014 Myanmar Population and Housing Census. The population of Myanmar on 1 October 2022, the mid-year of the 2022-2023FY, is estimated at 55.8 million, and the population by regions and states is approximately calculated as shown in the following table: -
