THE Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) operated the Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw-Loikaw-Yangon flight with the XY-AML aircraft type ATR 72-600 carrying 63 passengers and it flew to the airport according to the landing procedures to land at Loikaw Airport at about 8:45 am on 30 September. Terrorists fired the plane with a weapon (under verification) that hit the left part of the aircraft fuselage causing a passenger injured on the right cheek onboard the aircraft.

The Myanmar War Veterans Organization has issued this statement strongly objecting to unprovoked attacks on innocent people and terrorist acts, including the current one, for crimes that cause public suffering.
