A total of over 1.7 million stimulant tablets worth over K530 million was seized in Kunhing Township of Shan State (South), it is learnt.

A combined team consisting of members of the An­ti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a Toyota HiAce car driven by Sai Sang Han accompanied by Sai Noi heading from Karli to Mongpyin on the Taunggyi-Tachilek Road at the Takaw Bridge combined checkpoint of Kunhing township at 6 pm on 9 November, according to information. A total of 1.77 million stimulant tablets worth over K530 million were found in the car.

According to interrogation results, stimulant tablets were transported from Kunhing township to Tachilek town­ship. Legal action is taken against them and the Myanmar Police Force is trying to expose those connected with the offenders.
